Wright Baptist Church puts a priority on missions – both doing and supporting.  Heeding Jesus' words to be witnesses locally, regionally, and globally (Acts 1:8), and to take His message to the world and make disciples (Matthew 28:19-20), we work with both Southern Baptist and independent entities in the effort to minister to people from a variety of backgrounds and circumstances.  Examples of our commitment to missions include:

We support the work of the Florida Baptist Convention and the nearly 5000 missionaries of the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention to reach and minister to people in our home state and throughout North America.  As well, we annually assist the Florida Baptist Children's Homes through our Vacation Bible School and Mother's Day offerings. Student and adult groups take mission trips to areas within our nation, sharing the Good News of Christ while ministering to people's other needs as well.  We also actively support new church starts within our fifty states.

There are more than 5,000 missionaries commissioned by the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), taking the gospel to more than 120 countries around the world. Our financial support of their work, through the Cooperative Program of the SBC, enables these men and women to serve without fear of financial stress.

As well, we are actively involved in and support the work of TRUTH Evangelistic Ministry.  TEM is taking the gospel, building churches, and supporting orphanages and a nursing home for widows in the under-developed country of Haiti.  To learn more about TEM, please see www.truthem.org.
